Old Wulfs came into this game knowing Wordsley Wasps West would be full of confidence after taking a point from our last meeting. With our top goal scorer and three others missing, it was always going to be a tough test.

We started brightly, playing some really good passing football. Just 6 minutes in, Dan played a superb ball through to Sam, who calmly looped it over the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.

Despite controlling most of the possession, we were hit by two quick setbacks. In the 12th minute, Wordsley equalised from a corner, and just two minutes later, another corner saw them take the lead at 2-1.

The response from Old Wulfs was outstanding. We stuck to our passing style and in the 29th minute, Sam grabbed his second to level things at 2-2 going into halftime.

At the break, Phil encouraged the lads to keep testing their goalkeeper and maintain our style of play and it paid off.

We came out flying in the second half. Just 2 minutes in, Sam completed his hat-trick to put us back in front at 3-2. Moments later, Dan extended the lead to 4-2.

The pressure kept building, and in the 51st minute, Harvey forced an own goal to make it 5-2. From there, it was total dominance.

Dan added another in the 54th minute, Olly got on the scoresheet in the 62nd, and Harry G capped things off in the 78th minute.
